This is a very attractive example of a hardstone cameo ring from the 1860's, with such detail to the carving.
Carved out of a piece of onyx, the carivng displays both the black and the white, and being onyx, is alot harder than the traditional shell cameo.
Dating from the 1860's, this cameo ring is just perfect in all respects, and the quality is superb.
