Elgin "Father Time" pocket watch.

This Elgin has one of the highest grade movements ever produced by the company making this really stand out from most other Elgin pocket watches.

Inside the rolled gold case which measures 50mm across, is an incredible 21 jewelled movement that has been adjusted to 5 positions, exactly the same as a Chronometer grade watch today.

The quality of this movement is superb and to find a higher grade movement will be hard. This movement is called a 'Father Time" movement, and of course keeps exceptional time.

The case is a screw back and front, and lever set, meaning that the case is unscrewed at the front to set the time. Being open faced and with numerals, this Elgin pocket watch is based on the railway pocket watches of this time.

To find a fantastic Elgin pocket watch like this, is a real find and one for the collectors, or as a perfect gift for that someone special.
