Mine cut diamonds were first cut in the early 1700's and are sometimes called cushion cut diamonds thanks to their wonderful squaring shape somewhat resembling a cushion, and here are a stunning pair of antique diamond cluster earrings set with genuine antique mine cut diamonds. Made in 18 carat yellow gold, the centre diamonds total 0.62 carats and the surrounding diamonds in both earrings total 0.81 carats and all have not only such a wonderful sparkle to them, but also all the charm and character of being cut entirely by hand all those years ago. The main section of the earrings where the diamonds are set date from the 1870's and measure 7.6mm in diameter and have been fitted on newer 18 carat yellow gold shepherd hooks with lovely long and secure ends. Perfect for that special occasion, these earrings are as beautiful today as when they were made all those years ago. Stock# ES9468 Circa: 1870 $12,250

There is something so unique and special about antique rings, from them being hand made and therefore so individual, to being set with genuine antique cut diamonds, and made in a design that has never gone out of fashion or style and all of these features are evident in this gorgeous antique diamond cluster ring dating from the 1880's. Hand made in 18 carat yellow gold, this ring is set with the gorgeous mine cut diamonds. The forerunner to the European cut diamond, the mine cut diamonds are also called "cushion cut" diamonds thanks to their somewhat squarish cushion shape. In the centre is a mine cut diamond that measures 0.35 carats and is surrounded by eight more mine cut diamonds that come together to total 0.80 carats. The sparkle from these diamonds is wonderful, as is the fact that they were cut by hand 140 years ago. When a ring is hand made, it has all the charm and character of being a one off making this even more special to wear. Measuring 10.6mm in diameter, the ring has the most elegant band with a beautiful ribbed finish to it that feels so sleek on the finger, and there is no doubt that this ring will always be loved and admired.
