This is one of the finest and highest grade pocket watches that have come into our possesion for some time.
A superb and extremely fine quality solid 18ct yellow gold open face pocket watch retailed by the prestigious firm Tiffany and Co towards the end of the 19th Century.
The maker and high quality of this pocket watch is a real pleasure to admire.
Made by Edouard Koehn, he was a director and watchmaker for Patek Philippe, until he left in 1891 when he then left to continue his own watchmaking career and took over the company of Henri Ekegren.
He became famous for producing very slim high grade movements of superb quality.
This particular movement has 21 jewels, and is adjusted to 7 positions. A Chronometer Certified watch today is adjusted to 5 positions, so this pocket watch is just gets more and more exciting.
It has a micro-regulator, Breguet over-coil hairspring and palet stone jewels, making this an amizingly high grade pocket watch.
Overall, this is one of the finest quality pocket watches that we have had the pleasure of retailing for quite some, and will give the new owner great pleasure to own.
