Here is such a beautiful antique pearl and diamond ring that look so beautiful from the top, as well as from the pierce work on the sides, and is even more incredible when you think that it was made 136 years ago and still looks so beautiful.
Both the pearls and the diamond are beautifully set low down into the band with the pearls being set in straight boxes and the diamond in a sideways direction.
The European cut diamond in the centre measures 0.05 carats, and sparkles so elegantly as well as having all the charm and character of being a genuine antique cut diamond.
Measuring 6.2m wide at the top and then tapering down to an elegant 2.4mm wide at the back, the scroll work on the sides is so gorgeous and adds that extra element of beauty.
Made in 15 carat gold, this ring both sits and feels so comfortable on the finger and is perfect for any woman of any age.

Antique pearl and diamond ring made in Chester in 1884
This antique pearl and diamond ring was made in the Victorian era in Chester England in 1884. Set with a European cut diamond, the European cut diamond is the forerunner to the round brilliant cut diamond of today. Both having fifty eight facets, the as the European cut diamond was cut by hand and technology was quite different to today, the angles on the diamond are often steeper than modern round brilliant cut diamonds. In recent years the demand for both the antique European cut diamond and the earlier mine cut diamond (also known as a "cushion cut" or "old miners" diamond) has increased so dramatically that modern versions of these antique cut diamonds are being cut in the diamond polishing workshops of Antwerp and India.
