Burma, or also known as Myanmar, has long been the country that produces the best quality rubies in the world and these rubies total 1.15 carats and have such a fine red colour to them. Today there are so many treatments of rubies such as glass filling or lead filling the stones to alter and enhance the colour, however this treatment is very unstable and the ruby prone to cracking, so it is best to steer well clear of any lead filled or glass filled ruby.
These rubies have of course not undergone this treatment and to highlight each ruby are a total of sixteen round brilliant cut diamonds that add a gorgeous amount of sparkle to the earrings.
The diamonds total 0.16 carats and each earring measures 10.5mm by 8.5mm and are made in 18ct white gold.
