Ladies platinum diamond set Patek Philippe Art Deco watch

Patek Phillipe are regarded as one of, if not the finest watchmaking company in the world, and here we are pleased to offer a ladies platinum diamond set Patek Philippe Art Deco watch.

Dating from 1925, the entire watch has all the characteristics and quality that you would expect from both the Art Deco era and Patek Philippe. The watch is entirely made out of platinum as is the mesh style adjustable band. And to complete the quality, the platinum buckle is also exquisitely set with diamonds. The attention to detail on the case is just incredible. It was not simply a matter of setting diamonds in the case, but rather the style and design is what separates a good quality diamond watch from an exception one such as this one here.

The watch case is just captivating to look at, as it is not just the diamonds, but the way they surround the case and are a combination of round single cut diamonds and rectangle baguette cut diamonds, really come together to make such an elegant statement.

Set on the case itself are fifty eight round diamonds and on each band connecting to the case, there are sixteen round diamonds each side and three baguette cut diamonds each side. With the baguette cut diamonds adding that extra element of class and style, these diamonds come together to total 0.99 carats.

And then the platinum buckle is exquisitely set with ten more diamonds that total 0.08 carats. The quality and level of thought that went into this watch in immense as this simple yet elegant feature of setting diamonds into the buckle truly shows the quality of Patek Philippe.

With the watch case measuring 31.9mm in length or 48.5mm from the diamonds on the band to down to the other end, by 14mm across plus the crown, this watch sits so beautifully on the wrist. Even looking at the crown and seeing how it was hand engraved as was the side of the case, again show the quality one would expect from Patek Philippe.

And then inside is what made Patek Philippe so highly regarded - their fabulous and high quality movements. This manual wind movement has 18 jewels and is adjusted to an astonishing 8 positions. Where the Chronometer standard is 5 adjustments, 8 is simply unheard of today.

Fully serviced and complete with our twelve month warranty, this ladies Art Deco Patek Philippe is spectacular from every angle and is a true masterpiece in both watchmaking and jewellery.

Description
Ladies platinum diamond set Patek Philippe Art Deco watch

Made in 1925, this Patek Philippe is exquisite. Made entirely in platinum, even the buckle is set with diamonds. Regarded as the finest in the world, there is nothing quite like a Patek Philippe on your wrist.

A brief history on Patek Philippe:
Polish watchmaker Antoni Patek started making pocket watches in 1839 in Geneva. Along with his fellow Czech-born Polish partner Franciszek Czapek, however this was short lived. They separated in 1844, and in 1845 Patek joined with the French watchmaker Adrien Philippe. Philippe was the inventor of the keyless winding mechanism. Patek Philippe & Co was founded in 1851 and since then Patek Philippe have become famous for high grade movements such as the perpetual calendar, split-seconds hand, chronograph, and minute repeater in watches.

Making watches for such people as Pope Pius IX, Queen Victoria, Victor Emanuel III of Italy, Christian IX of Denmark, and Albert Einstein. Patek Philippe also made the worlds most expensive timepiece – The Henry Graves Super complication. Made in 1933 for the prominent banker Henry Graves, Jr. The ultra-complicated pocket watch has 24 functions and was the result of Graves’ friendly horological competition with James Ward Packard. After Graves’ death, the watch was auctioned at Sotheby’s in December 1999 for US$11 million to Sheikh Saud Bin Mohammed Bin Ali Al-Thani of the Qatari royal family, at that time the most expensive timepiece ever sold. Most recently, the watch sold at Sotheby’s Geneva Auction on November 11, 2014 for a record breaking US$24 million.
