Starting in 1986, we have been dealing in antique jewellery and fine modern jewellery, wrist watches, pocket watches and antique clocks, silver and objet D’art, and have made a name as one of Sydney’s finest antique jewellery dealers, and are in the beautiful and historic Queen Victoria Building in the heart of Sydney, New South Wales.
We also have some of the finest antique diamond engagement rings in Sydney, as well as an extensive selection of other styles of engagement rings such as sapphire and diamond engagement rings and ruby and diamond engagement rings.

18 carat rose gold and platinum Retro era diamond ring from the 1950’s
The Retro period followed the Art Deco era, and the style of jewellery was such a difference to the earlier era by having large and wonderful designs that with or without stones, always makes such a fabulous impact on the finger, and here is an amazing Retro diamond ring straight from the 1950's. Made in 18 carat rose gold and platinum, the design alone of this ring has such a wonderful geometric design to it that will guarantee that it will always be admired. In the centre sits a 0.28 carat round early brilliant cut diamond, which is highlighted by four single cut diamonds that total 0.16 carats, all of which are set in platinum. The ring measures 12.6mm wide and has such an elegant tapering design that makes it feel so comfortable to wear all the time. Antique sapphire, ruby and diamond snake ring made in the 1890’s
The snake or serpent design has been around in jewellery as far back as Roman times and found a resurgence in popularity when Prince Edward presented Queen Victoria a snake ring as her engagement ring, and here is a fabulous very large and heavy antique snake ring set with a ruby, sapphire and diamonds. Made in 18 carat yellow gold in the 1890's, the ring measures 12.6mm wide at the point where the two heads meet, and tapers down to 7.8mm wide at the back. With a lovely rounded finish to the ring, this ring not only makes a wonderful statement on the finger thanks to its width, but also so smooth and tactile to the touch. The pear cut ruby and sapphire each measure 0.10 carats each, and each is highlighted by being set with two single cut diamond "eyes" that total 0.02 carats. This is such a unique snake ring that has both a sapphire and ruby, and one that will certainly be hard to find and replace. Steeped in history, this is also a wonderful example of an antique ring that will not only be a talking point, but will also surprise so many when they discover that it is over 130 years old, yet still has such a modern and contemporary look to it.
