Antique hand engraved sterling silver buckle bangle made in 1882
Here is a gorgeous antique buckle bangle that not only has such a wonderful design in the buckle but is exquisitely hand engraved giving it such a wonderful tactile feel to the touch. Made in sterling silver in Birmingham in 1882, the bangle measures 31.7mm wide at the centre and 26.6mm wide at the back. The buckle design looks amazing and with the two polished sections representing the buckle section as well as the tongue to secure it down, this is highlighted even more thanks to the magnificent engraving along the top. The immense amount of time and skill to engrave this shows the quality and craftsmanship that went into making this all those years ago. Whereas many pieces today are either machine engraved or simply stamped out, nothing beats the quality and individuality of hand engraving. Antique aquamarine and seed pearl necklace made in the early 1900’s
This antique necklace was made in the early 1900's and is set with the most delicate soft blue colour aquamarines that look so beautiful set amongst the seed pearls in the wonderful design that will always be admired. Made in 9 carat gold, the necklace is typical of the work by the early Australian jewellers of this era. The way the two pear cut aquamarines at the bottom go to one side gives this necklace such a fluid and naturalistic look to it, even though the two stems coming down are fixed. Each set with charming seed pearls in a petal design with a further aquamarine at the top of each, set amongst the scroll design at the top are more aquamarines and seed pearls. And then with a final aquamarine at each end leading to the chain, this section from each end aquamarine across to the other measures 6.1cm across by 6.8cm from the top scroll to the lowest aquamarine. Antique Georgian era cut steel seal made in the 1800’s
Cut steel jewellery was commonly used from the late 1600's through to the mid-Victorian era, and became so sought after that during the 18th century at times cut steel was worth more than gold, and here is a fabulous antique steel seal made during the Georgian period of the early 1800's. This cut steel seal measures 35.2mm tall and the oval base measures 20.8mm by 18.7mm and has the most fantastic family crest set into it. Antique bloodstone and carnelian spinner made in 1895
Antique spinners or swivels as they are also known as, were originally designed to be attached to a gents Albert chain at one end, however today these are mostly worn as pendants by women either on a chain or back on an Albert chain when worn around the neck, where they have the advantage to be able to easily rotated over to change the side and therefore the colour that is facing forward. Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring made in the 1930’s

Jewellery made during the Art Deco period from the 1920's through to the 1940's often resulted in taking a traditional design and making it "modern" such as in this Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring made in the 1930's. Hand made in 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, instead of having one row of diamonds surrounding the sapphire in the centre, there are actually two clusters of diamonds - the inner cluster being set with five single cut diamonds and the outer row being set with twelve single cut diamonds. These diamonds come together to total 0.46 carats and the sapphire in the centre measures 0.16 carats. Sitting perfectly on the finger, the cluster section at the top measures 11.6mm by 10mm across and leads to the gorgeous tapered band.
