Vintage Omega Seamaster “Bumper” automatic with the rare Clous de Paris dial
Here is a very handsome vintage Omega Seamaster "Bumper" automatic with the rare Clous de Paris dial that makes this such a unique and special watch. The Omega Seamaster has been one of the most popular range brought out by Omega since its launch in 1948, and this has the stunning Clous de Paris dial. Also known as a hobnail dial, it is where it has a guilloché pattern on the dial of lines that intersect to form tiny pyramidal shapes, resulting in a fabulous textured dial. Highlighted with the rose coloured index markers, even the shape of the date window at the bottom is somewhat curved to continue the curve of the stainless steel case which itself measures 34mm across plus the Omega crown. Complete with the centre sweep seconds, this is a perfect example of a vintage Omega Seamaster that will always look so stylish on the wrist. Inside is the equally as beautiful "bumper" automatic Omega calibre 355 that has been fully serviced and comes with our twelve month warranty. A so-called "bumper" movement, the automatic rotor is unlike a modern automatic watch that has its rotor turning a full 360°, the rotor on this watch rotates back and forth, resulting in the rotor moving back and forth that gives a wonderful "bump" that feels great on the wrist and somehow connects you to the watch even more. From both inside and out, this is such a fascinating and incredible vintage Omega that will always be such a wonderful conversation starter. Ladies vintage rose gold Omega made in an exceedingly rare case
Once in a while something truly special comes by, and here is a ladies vintage rose gold Omega made in an exceedingly rare case that was made in France in 1947. Omega had watch cases made in other countries under licence such as in America and even Australia and although this also included France, very few of these French made Omega cases are often found. So typical of the style that is often seen in French jewellery, this watch case is just incredible and so rare. With no exact figures on how many were made in this case, extensive research has led us to the conclusion that finding another one in the exact case is incredibly unlikely. Combine this with the dial which is so clean and stylish with the combination of numbers, index markers and the sub-seconds at the bottom, and you have a truly stunning watch that will always be admired and is like no other. The case itself was made in 18 carat rose gold and has that lovely warm tone to it that only rose gold has and looks even more beautiful on the wrist. Measuring 27.1mm across, the crown sits somewhat flush to the case and then measures 25.1mm or 33.3mm from each lug where the watch band is fitted. Set with a very thick crystal to emphasise the wonderful angular case design, this watch case is as beautiful as it is unique. Inside is the brilliant manual wind Omega calibre 17.8 that has been fully serviced, runs perfect and comes with our twelve month warranty. From every angle, this ladies Omega watch is so beautiful and will no doubt always be loved, cherished and admired. Stock# W1522cc Maker: Omega Circa: 1947 $Sold

Vintage Omega bumper automatic watch dating from 1950
Bumper automatic movements are an early form of the automatic movements common in watches today, and were one in which the movement was restricted from completing a full 360° and the rotor would literally "bump" back and forth as it is being worn, and here is a brilliant vintage Omega bumper automatic watch dating from 1950. Early bumper automatic Omega watches are becoming so collectable and they feel great to wear on the wrist and feel that mechanical interaction that is lost on quartz (battery) powered watches today. Even though this watch dates from 1950, it is still able to be worn on a daily basis where it will no doubt get the attention and admiration that it deserves. Made in a 14 carat gold filled case that measures 34mm across plus the crown, don't be misled by the millimeter size and think that this will look small on the wrist, as thanks to the wide bezel, and beautiful dial, it makes such a presence on the wrist. The dial is just gorgeous and has the most wonderful patina that is all original and has not been repainted at all. Complemented with both numerals and those gorgeous triangular index markers, there is also the sub0seconds at the bottom. The look of this Omega is just perfect and exemplifies the style and character of the 1950's. Inside as mentioned is the bumper automatic movement which is a 17 jewelled Omega calibre 342 that has just come back from a full service, runs perfect and comes complete with our twelve month warranty. This is a great classic Omega that will not only look goo but feel good on the wrist. Stock# W1453 Maker: Omega Circa: 1950 $Sold.
Vintage Omega Cosmic Moonphase watch from 1947
Here is a very rare and highly collectable vintage Omega Cosmic Moonphase watch from 1947, reference 2486-2 that not only looks amazing on the wrist, but has aged beautifully. First made by Omega in 1947, the exact year that this one was produced, the Omega Cosmic Moonphase as it was officially named by Omega, was made until 1956 and should not be confused with the Omega Cosmic range of watches of the 1970's. This Moonphase Cosmic range was one of the most exclusive watches that was made by Omega and came in the smaller 34mm size or the larger one such as this which measures 37.5mm The case itself is a 80 micron 14 carat gold plated case which is still in incredible condition even after all these years. Most gold plating is usually anywhere between 10 to 20 microns, so being 80 microns this explains why it is still in superb condition. The colour has a lovely warm rose colour to it that looks even better with the dial which has aged so beautifully. Not only displaying the time, it is also a triple date meaning that it can be set to display the day, and month which can be seen just under the Omega logo, and also the date which can be seen on the outer edge of the dial. And on top of this, it also has of course the moonphase function which gives it such a stylish look to it. The dial has that wonderful patina that actually accentuates the watch and looks better than similar models that have had the dials repainted. Inside is the beautiful 17 jewelled manual wind calibre 27 DL PC. This is a somewhat unusual calibre reference which was re-named the following year in 1948 to the calibre 381. AM). 27 stood for the size of the movement at 27mm in diameter (and 5.25mm thick) and DL stood for triple date and moonphase, and the PC stood for the shock absorber used. This is a highly collectable vintage Omega watch that not only has a dial that is gorgeous to admire but looks spectacular on the wrist.
