Here is a stunning watch that was made during the Art Deco period of the 1920's that is a piece of fine jewellery just as much as it is a watch. Made by the Swiss watchmaking firm, Hafis Watch Company, this watch showcases the beauty and design that made jewellery from the Art Deco period as popular and sought after today as when it was made all those years ago. With such an elegant design to the case, the stepped design is typical of Art Deco jewellery and watches with a fabulous angular design that stands out even more with it being set with both sapphires and diamonds. With the case itself measuring 21.5mm in length from end to end, or 35mm including both end horizontal sections by 14.mm across plus the crown, the dial is so easy to read with very elegant numerals in a distinctly Art Deco font. Here is such a unique and exceedingly rare antique single key time and strike clock by the esteemed clock and watchmaking company, Zenith. The amazing feature with this clock that is found on no other, is that it has only one key to wind both the clock movement and the bell that strikes the hours and on the half hour. Whereas a "traditional" time and strike clock will have two key holes - one to wind the movement, and the other the striker, this one has just one and winding it one way will wind the movement, and the other with wind the striker. Not only is finding a single key hole time and strike clock rare, but finding a clock this size by Zenith is also unheard of. Made in solid mahogany with a gorgeous inlay, the clock measures 33.5cm tall by 25cm wide and 14cm deep and will sit perfect on any table or mantle shelf. With a delightful strike on the hour and the half hour, the clock has been completely serviced and comes with our twelve month warranty and there is no doubt that this will be a magnificent addition to any room.
