18ct gold antique bloodstone signet ring made in 1888
It's incredible to think that this 18ct gold antique bloodstone signet ring made in 1888 was made all those years ago, and is not only in great condition but looks so good on the finger as well.
The history of signet rings goes back 4,000 years ago and is the one form of jewellery that has always suited a mans finger. This one has a shield shape piece of bloodstone with the top section measuring 10.4mm across by 12.7mm. Bloodstone is from the quartz family and is also called heliotrope. Bloodstone is its more common name as is has a dark green body colour with the flecks of red naturally occurring and easy to see why this name is used.
This is such a handsome and elegant antique signet ring, and one that will always be admired and appreciated.
