Antique ruby and diamond hinged bangle made in 1910
This antique bangle looks as beautiful today as when it was made over a century ago in Birmingham in 1910.
Made in 9 carat rose gold, the colour of the gold alone is so beautiful and has that wonderful warm tone to it that looks even better against the skin. This beautiful rose colour adds to the romance and beauty of the bangle which is then highlighted by having two rubies and a European cut diamond. Not only is the design on the top so beautiful, but both the rubies and diamonds are gypsy set, which is when there is a star pattern surrounding the stones which was created by the jeweller pushing into the gold resulting in not only a star pattern but also a bead to add to the security of securing the gemstones.
The rubies total 0.36 carats and the diamond 0.04 carats, and at the centre it measures 11.2mm wide and being a hinged bangle, this allows it to sit nice and close to the wrist.
Fitted with a safety chain, this antique bangle is so beautiful and will always be loved and admired.
