Called a "Toi et Moi" riong, this is a French term for “You and Me” and is used for a ring with two main stones, and is believed to have started when Napoleon gave Josephine a sapphire and diamond engagement ring in 1776.
This particular one was hand made in 18 carat yellow gold in 1911 and is set with two European cut diamonds that total 0.34 carat and sparkle so beautifully.
The way the band is designed to hold and support the diamonds gives it the appearance of hugging and holding onto the diamonds tight adding to the allure and romance of the ring.
