The turquoise and pearls set into this brooch work so perfectly as a colour combination that is highlighted further by the warm tone from the 9 carat rose gold as well as the design of the brooch itself. Made by the early Australian jewellery firm Duggin, Shappere & Co in the early 1900's, the brooch measures 28.5mm in diameter and is set with three pieces of natural turquoise as well as six seed pearls, three of which are set into a gorgeous star shaped setting. The beautiful flowing design of the brooch as well as its size will so easily allow this brooch to be worn on any outfit day or night and always look perfect. Turquoise and pearl makes such a wonderful combination together and was popular in the Victorian and Edwardian eras and here is such a beautiful and elegant antique turquoise and pearl brooch. Made in 15ct gold, the brooch itself measures 40.5mm across by 14.4mm at the centre.
