Here is an antique night and day curb link bracelet that is truly one of the finest that you will ever find for so many reasons.
To begin with, these are called "night and day" bracelets as it was thought that the plain side could be worn during the day and the engraved side in the evening, however this is more of an urban myth as the side with the engraved links is what a beautiful feature that makes it stand out compared to plain ones, and it is always nice to have this side showing.
The links in this bracelet are made in 15 carat gold, which is so much more rare and harder to find than ones in 9 carat gold, and on top of this, each link measures a 13mm wide, which is much wider than many other antique bracelets of the same period.
Not only are the links in 15 carat gold and nice and wide, but they are in superb condition as is the exquisite hand engraved padlock. The padlock is so beautiful and hallmarked for being made in 1908 with the makers mark on the padlock matching the makers mark on the bracelet itself.

The curb link padlock bracelet is such a traditional design and here is a very beautiful and unique night and day bracelet that was made in 1908.
The night and day curb link bracelet was thought to have originated to wear the plain side during the day and the engraved side during the night. While this does have merit, it is more realistic that this was a design feature that was named so after its inception. Often found with rounded links, this one follows that path however with one side having an amazing hammer finish to it as opposed to engraved links.
With each ling measuring 10mm wide, it is made in 9 carat rose gold with the rose gold having such a wonderful warm colour to it.
End to end the bracelet measures 19cm and is fitted with a heart shaped padlock with a safety chain, and this is so comfortable and practical to wear all the time.

Still in wonderful condition even well after 100 years, this antique rose gold padlock bracelet will still look as elegant and beautiful today as when it was made in the glorious Edwardian era.
Made in London in 1907 in 9ct rose gold, the curb link was a popular style of bracelet of the time that has remained a stylish design that is still being reproduced today.
