1.55ct Ceylonese sapphire and diamond ring
$0.00
There is nothing like the quality of a fine sapphire and it has long been regarded that the finest quality sapphires in the world are Ceylonese sapphires, and here is a magnificent Ceylonese sapphire and diamond ring.
All hand made in 18ct yellow gold and platinum in the 1960’s, the Ceylonese sapphire is such a fine quality example thanks to its desired blue colour and transparency allowing you to view right through the sapphire.
The sapphire measures 1.55 carats and sits so proudly amongst all the diamonds that really sparkle magnificently in the light.
On each side of the sapphire are wonderful old European cut diamonds which measure 0.50 carats each and to really add even more elegance there are a combination of baguette cut diamonds, round brilliant cut diamonds and single cut diamonds.
All of these other diamonds have a total weight of 0.92 carats and all of the diamonds are G in colour and Vs to Si in clarity.
From where the shoulder diamonds meet to the top of the setting, the ring measures 16.6mm across by 20.4mm from the end of one baguette diamond to the end of the other.
The quality of how well this ring was made really shows when you look under the ring as well at how complicated and time consuming it would have been to hand make this ring and is a real testament to the quality of the ring as a whole.
This is a really spectacular example of a fine quality Ceylonese and sapphire ring that will always be admired and appreciated not only for its design but quality of gemstones as well.
