18 carat antique Albert chain

$17,700.00

With such a genteel style to them, originally the Albert chain was made to connect a pocket watch to a chain to be worn with a gents waistcoat, and this was a traditional item of the Victorian and Edwardian eras, however today the Albert chain, or fob watch chain as they are also known as, are commonly worn around the neck where they look so elegant.

More often found in 9 carat gold, this one was made in solid 18 carat yellow gold in the early 1900’s. Not only are the links still in wonderful condition, but this measures a full 41cm from end to end.

Fitted with an 18 carat swivel at one end, and an 18 carat bolt ring on the other, there is the tee bar in the centre which gives it a wonderful aesthetic design.

Finding an Albert chain such as this in not only wonderful condition but also in 18 carat gold, makes this antique Albert chain even more exciting and special.
