18 carat white gold Burmese ruby and diamond halo earrings

For centuries, Burmese rubies have been regarded as the best in the world, and this can so easily be seen in this very elegant pair of Burmese ruby and diamond earrings.

Made in 18 carat white gold, the two rubies total 1.51 carats and both display such a fine red colour to them. Today there are so many treatments of rubies such as glass filling or lead filling the stones to alter and enhance the colour, however this treatment is very unstable and the ruby is prone to cracking, and while these rubies are much cheaper, the quality is simply not there and needless to say, these rubies have not undergone that treatment.

Each ruby is surrounded by sixteen round brilliant cut diamonds that add a the perfect amount of sparkle and total 0.28 carats. Each earring measures 10.3mm by 8.6mm and are fitted with post and butterfly fittings and are so comfortable to wear all the time and with the sparkle emanating from the diamonds, and the magnificent colour from the rubies, there is no doubt that they will always be loved and cherished.
