The Cartier Tank was first launched in 1917, and over a century later has remained one of the most iconic and easily recognisable watches in the world. This particular Cartier Tank watch has a very unique and rarely found feature - the Paris dial. What this means is that at the bottom under the Roman numeral for 6, is the word "Paris" instead of the more often found "Swiss". This small but pivotal feature makes this Cartier Tank watch so much rarer than its Swiss dial counterparts.
Combined with the fact that it is in solid 18ct yellow gold and has the brilliant manual wind movement, this makes this such a wonderful example of a vintage Cartier Tank with a difference.
Measuring 23.5mm across plus the crown by 30.1mm it is fitted on a brand new Cartier band and day or night will always look so elegant all the while retaining that classic look.

A brief history on the Cartier Tank watch.
The Cartier Tank watch was created by Louis Cartier in 1917, and was actually inspired by the army tanks that were first used in World War One. First introduced in 1918, the Cartier Tank watch has been such an easily distinguishable model thanks to its clean straight lines, somewhat mimicking an army tank.
Variations of the Cartier Tank have been produced including the Tank Louis in 1922, the Tank Americaine in 1989, and the Tank Francaise in 1996.
