18ct rose gold diamond retro brooch.

Retro jewellery of the 1950's resulted in some spectacular pieces of jewellery being created with large bold designs in the post-war era such as can easily be seen here in this retro brooch that is nothing short of incredible and a brooch that is destined to be noticed and admired.

Made in the 1950's, this retro brooch is made in 18ct rose and white gold. Rose gold became the colour of choice for many of the retro pieces and the colour has such a warm glow to it that is still as popular today as when these pieces were being made.

The dimensions of this brooch is also typical of this era as it is quite large and bold in not only its design but size as well.

It measures an impressive 6.4cm by 4.7cm and really looks magnificent on any lapel.

As though this wasn't enough, this retro brooch has been set with a total of 101 diamonds that has a total weight of 2.94 carats and sparkles amazingly.

The diamonds are set in a combination of bezel and grain setting and graduate in size so elegantly.

Then set with a pearl to compliment the design and white gold, the form of this brooch is truly amazing.

Like Art Deco jewellery, retro jewellery has such a distinct look and character to it and this example of a very fine retro brooch using rose gold in its design as well as a large amount of diamonds makes this a true stand out brooch that will always be admired and commented on.
