1901 18 carat gold Waltham in superb condition
$12,200.00
While there are many antique pocket watches around today, rarely are they in this condition with the case being not only so beautifully engraved, but like its movement inside, in exceptional condition that is as good as they ever come.
Made in solid 18 carat yellow gold by Waltham in 1901, to begin with the size of this is a full gents sized pocket watch that measures 51.8mm across by 73.8mm to the top of the bow, and weighs a hefty 109.6 grams which feels wonderful to hold in the palm of your hand. And the case itself is so exquisitely engraved not only on the front and the back, but also the side of the watch has the incredible engraving to complete the picture. With so little wear to the case, the engraving feels so crisp and sharp, and with the hinge on the front springing open so well, there is no doubt that this pocket watch was handed with so much care.
The dial is so attractive with the black Roman numerals and sub-seconds at the bottom and is as pure white today as when it was made and is so easy to read to this day.
Then inside is the wonderful seventeen jewelled manual wind movement with a Breguet hairspring of superb quality, and the entire pocket watch has been completely serviced by our in-house watchmakers and comes with our twelve month warranty.
This pocket watch is simply superb both inside and out and will be difficult to find one in a similar condition.
