9ct scalloped designed sovereign case made in 1896

Traditionally used to hold sovereigns, today they look wonderful when worn on a necklace around the neck, and here is a very beautiful 9ct scalloped designed sovereign case made in 1896.

In superb condition even well after 120 years have passed, the hinge and springs are in wonderful condition and highlight the quality of jewellery making all those years ago. Measuring 38.4mm across by 48.2mm from the bottom to the top of the bow, this sovereign case has such a lovely tactile feel to it.
