Antique Albert chain made in 1912
$850.00
Originally the Albert chain was made to connect a pocket watch to a chain to be worn with a gents waistcoat, and was a popular item in the late Victorian and Edwardian times. Today the Albert chain, or fob watch chain as they are also known as, are commonly worn around the neck where they look so stylish such as this one here.
Made in sterling silver in Birmingham in 1912, this one measures a full 40cm in length and is called a double Albert as the curb links come from each side of the tee bar in the centre.
With each link hallmarked and the links themselves in wonderful condition, this antique Albert chain is perfect to be dressed up or down for any occasion, and can so easily have an addition such as a medal or a swivel attached.
