Antique arrow brooch set with diamonds and Cupid

There is no other subject in mythology more romantic and sweet than Cupid, and here is the most beautiful antique brooch that depicts Cupid and his arrow.

Made in 18 carat yellow gold in the 1890's, the brooch measures 56.5mm across by 29.5mm and was made in the form of an arrow head in such a beautiful way. Instead of the arrow head being flat and sharp, it has a wonderful soft curve to both sides that softens the look and feel of the brooch. This gives the brooch a much softer and more feminine style to the brooch which is emphasised further by not only the rose cut diamonds, but  by the absolutely charming enamel Cupid. With such beautiful soft colours in the enamel, as well as so much detail, the closer you get to admire Cupid, the more it melts your heart and will make you smile.

With the diamonds "connected" by hand engraving giving them a floral look, the diamonds total 0.09 carats and sparkle delightfully in the light.
