Antique bloodstone and carnelian spinner made in 1895
$1,450.00
Antique spinners or swivels as they are also known as, were originally designed to be attached to a gents Albert chain at one end, however today these are mostly worn as pendants by women either on a chain or back on an Albert chain when worn around the neck, where they have the advantage to be able to easily rotated over to change the side and therefore the colour that is facing forward.
This one was made in 9 carat rose gold in Birmingham in 1895 and is designed with such an attractive design on the top. Set with the bloodstone on one side and carnelian on the other, the rose gold compliments both stones perfectly.
Measuring 25.4mm across by 35mm, this antique spinner will always look so attractive no matter which side is worn forward.
