This antique signet ring was made in the late 1800's Victorian era and looks and feels amazing on the finger where it will no doubt always be admired.
Made in 18 carat yellow gold, the ring is set with an oval piece of bloodstone with an exquisite hand carving of a stag. This beautiful masculine design is complimented perfectly by the lovely solid band which is highlighted by the incredible hand engraving that will have you admiring it every time that this ring is on your finger.
Measuring 12mm across by 15mm, this is a wonderful example of a lovely solid antique signet ring.

Antique bloodstone signet ring with an intaglio of a stag
Signet rings go as far back to ancient Egypt over 4,000 years ago, and use of the term signet or seal, is from the Latin sigillum (seal), diminutive of signum (sign) and dates back at least to the second half of the thirteenth century. This antique signet ring is set hand engraved on the sides.
