The buckle design is one that has been used in jewellery for centuries and is thought to have represented an unbreakable bond between two people, so not only is this antique buckle bangle so beautiful, but it is just as romantic.
Made in sterling silver in the Victorian era in Birmingham in 1896, the bangle has such a wonderful flowing design to it with the way the "strap" goes through the buckle and under the loop. Not only is this so tactile to touch, but it has been so beautifully hand engraved. The time and expertise needed to hand engrave this would have been immense and is a real testament to the quality of this bangle.
Measuring 24.7mm wide at buckle by 18.1mm at the back, being oval shaped and hinged will allow this to sit close and comfortably on the wrist.
Fitted with a safety chain for added security, this is a wonderful bangle that will so easily suit being worn day or night.
