Garnets come in such a vast range of colours including the rarest of all the garnets, the green demantoid garnet such as can be seen here in this charming antique demantoid garnet and diamond brooch.
Mined in the Ural mountains, the demantoid garnet has such a wonderful green colour to it and looks magnificent set into the rose gold. Highlighted with two diamonds the brooch was made in 9ct rose gold in Chester in 1897.
Typical in design of the late Victorian era, the brooch measures 42mm across by 10.6mm wide at the centre this brooch also has the most elegant floral design to add to the charm and character of an already very beautiful brooch.
