Here is a spectacular antique diamond, moonstone and ruby brooch in the form of a flower and complete with its original box dating it to the Victorian period of 1891.
Made by the English company Poile and Smith, the original fitted box is stamped with the initials A.R.C and March 11,1891 and would have been a specially commissioned piece for someone very special.
Made in 18ct gold, the brooch measures 20.8mm across by 23.5mm and is set with three rubies, three hand carved pieces of moonstone and 32 diamonds. The diamonds are made up of 31 rose cut diamonds and the European cut diamond in the centre and they have a total weight of 0.56 carats and really highlight the moonstone so well.
The colour combination of all the gemstones combined with the elegant form all go together to create a truly exceptional antique brooch.
With the lovely touch of the personalised box, this is really one of the most charming antique brooches that is so full of colour and character and will always be admired.
