What an attractive and elegant antique aquamarine and pearl necklace dating from the start of the 20th century that looks so special on the neck.
All hand made in 9ct gold, the design is so delightful and has all the charm and character of a true antique piece of jewellery.
A good quality aquamarine will be such a lovely soft blue colour as can be seen here in this necklace and the smaller aquamarine measures 0.40 carats in size and the larger one suspended at the bottom measures 0.85 carats and both are so well matched for colour.
Highlighting the piece are 5 natural seed pearls that give this Edwardian era necklace so much extra charm.
The design of the setting is so simple and attractive and when it is on the neck really sits so well against the skin.
From where the top pearl is attached to the chain to the bottom of the lower aquamarine measures a lovely 5.8cm in length and laid out, from end to end the chain itself measures 45.5cm.
This is a very simple and attractive design that has kept a timeless look and feel to it and the aquamarines are such good quality making this a truly delightful antique necklace to wear with pride.
