Mid-Victorian era jewellery around the 1850's to 1860's has such a style of itself quite different to earlier pieces and later Victorian pieces of jewellery of the 1890's.
And here is a wonderful example of a mid-Victorian era brooch dating from the 1860's and in wonderful condition with such a fabulous and attractive design.
Made in 15ct yellow gold, this antique brooch is set with a combination of cabochon cut natural emeralds and rose cut diamonds as well as white coral in the centre making this even more unique and special.
The brooch measures 52mm by 22.7mm and is the perfect size to be admired day or night.
And when you look at the quality of the hand engraving, it is incredible to think that all of this was expertly hand engraved over 150 years ago.
So beautiful and elegant, this is a wonderful example of fine quality antique jewellery from the mid-Victorian era.
