Made in France in the early 1900's in sterling silver, the front is made with an enamelled scene of a rooster surrounded by the phrase , "Quand ce coq chantera mon amite finira" which translates to "When this rooster crows my friendship will end". The rooster is the French symbol for their country, representing courage and bravery, and the colours in this rooster are just so beautiful to admire. With such a smooth, tactile feel to it, this will always be a wonderful conversation starter each time that it is admired, and to add to the romance, the reverse side is engraved with "Bijou" meaning "Jewel"
