An epergne is used as an ornamental centerpiece on a dining table, and was typically used for holding fruits, sweets or flowers or a combination and here is a gorgeous antique epergne with an iridescent glass flute and bowls that will certainly set the scene for any room and dinner party.
Dating from the 1890’s, this exquisite epergne is set with the most regal iridescent green glass flute highlighted with the two iridescent glass bowls that would look decadent filled with sweets or fruits such as grapes.
Measuring an impressive 55cm tall, it also measures 40cm from left to right by 19cm deep and the silver plated mount that the glass is on hasn’t been forgotten to be a work of art in its own right.
With a wonderful neoclassical design with a woman in the centre, this is by far one of the most impressive antique epergnes that you will find and one that will truly stand out on any dining table.
