The design of this ring will not only allow it to be worn alongside other antique rings as well as modern rings, but the way the rubies and diamond is set low into the setting, this makes it very comfortable and practical to wear all the time.
Gypsy setting is a term given when there is a star pattern surrounding the stones in the ring which was created by the jeweller pushing into the gold resulting in not only a star pattern but also a bead to add to the security of securing the stone in the ring.
Measuring 6.3mm wide at the centre, it tapers down to 2.2mm at the back and is set with two natural rubies that total 0.08 carats, and a mine cut diamond in the centre that measures 0.06 carats.
This ring is perfect for any woman of any age and is perfect to wear day or night.

Antique gypsy set ruby and diamond ring made in 1918 made in 18 carat yellow gold.
This antique ring is set with two natural rubies and an antique mine cut diamond into the band in what is often referred to as “gypsy settingâ€. Often in these antique rings, there is a star pattern surrounding the stone which was created by the jeweller pushing into the metal resulting in not only the pattern but also a bead to add to the security of the stone.
The mine cut diamond was first cut at the start of the eighteenth century and is the first really brilliant cut diamond as it has fifty eight facets (cuts) just the same number as the modern round brilliant cut diamond of today.
