Antique hand engraved double sided locket
There is nothing quite as special as hand engraving – to see how much time and detail has gone into a piece of jewellery is truly remarkable and made even more special when it is in a piece of jewellery made well over a century ago such as this antique locket here.
Dating from the late-Victorian era of the 1890’s, this locket was made in sterling silver and with both sides so beautifully hand engraved, will allow either side to be worn facing forward.
Measuring 32.5mm across by 40mm plus the large bail for a chain at the top, inside it can hold two photos.
In wonderful condition, and with such a tactile feel to the touch, this is a lovely example of hand engraving combined with a lovely locket.
