Antique hard stone cameo ring with pearls

This antique cameo ring looks perfect on the finger and will always be admired.
Made in the 1870’s in 15ct gold, it is set with a hard stone carving from sardonyx of a mans profile.
Most cameos are set with shell cameo which is softer, so it is great to get one with sardonyx which shows the wonderful layers.
The different colouring in the layers has been used to its advantage by allowing the face to stand out so well against the background as well as the highlight of colour in the hair.

The cameo is surrounded by 34 natural seed pearls which compliment the ring so well, and the cameo measures 13mm x 11mm, and with the pearls measures 17mm x 13mm and sits so nicely on the finger.

With such beautiful engraving on the side of the band, this antique hard stone cameo will be treasured every time that it is worn.
