Here is an antique locket with a cherub that is just exquisite and is one of the finest examples of mid-Victorian jewellery around.
Dating from the 1870’s, the front displays the most beautiful and elegant porcelain painting of a cherub who has such detail to it that makes this locket so incredible. The angelic face is so serene and this is complimented by the Etruscan border made in 15ct gold. Even the top triangular bail has the same fine detail that really completes the piece so well.
The oval section measures 35mm across by 40.8mm or 59.6mm to the very top.
Turning the locket over reveals a compartment for a photo to make this more personal and add that extra charm to an already exceptional antique locket.
Here we have attached it to an 18ct gold necklace – sold separately – to show just one way of how it would look and no matter what it is worn on will always look elegant.
*Please note the image with the chain attached is not included in the price. This is sold separately for $3,800. The price at the checkout if bought online will be just for the locket and not the necklace*
