Here is an absolutely charming antique micromosaic stick pin of the Temple of Vesta in Tivoli Italy, that is not only so beautiful, but it captures the heart and mind.
Made in 18 carat yellow gold in the 1850's, micromosaic jewellery was made using incredibly small pieces of ceramics, glass or pebbles known as tesserae, that arranging the painstakingly over time into incredible works of art as can be seen here in this stick pin.
With so much detail in such a small area, it is incredible what could be achieved 170 years ago. With the top section measuring 12.5mm in diameter, the entire pin measures 6.2cm and sits perfectly in a lapel.
This micromosaic stick pin is so charming, there is no doubt that it will always be admired every time that it is worn.
