Antique necklace with secret "key to my heart" locket

Here is by far one of the most spectacular antique necklaces that we have ever seen let alone been privileged to offer for sale and one that is so unique and special, there will be no other quite like it in the world.

This amazing necklace was made in 18ct yellow gold in France towards the end of the 19th Century and is made up of the most intricate designed necklace that measures a wonderful 51cm from end to end.

However sitting proud in the centre is the most exquisite section firstly made up with natural turquoise leading down to a lock style piece set with more turquoise and garnets with the centre set with a piece of prehnite which is partially cabochon meaning domes top while also being partially facetted around the sides. Prehnite was first discovered in 1788 and has a wonderful soft green colour that matches so well with the gold and turquoise and garnets.

Turning this section over reveals a locket section for a photo of a loved one that will make it even more personal and special.

Then below this section is the key on one side and heart on the other, which has the romantic sentiment of "key to my heart". This romantic gesture goes one step further by revealing that the heart actually opens up into a locket and looking close will show how much detail and time went into making this locket. To give perspective on the locket, it measures an incredible 10.5mm by 9.1mm wide.

From the top row of turquoise down to the heart locket, this distance measures 8cm and on the neck, this antique necklace looks absolutely amazing and is truly like nothing else and is just spectacular.
