Antique opal and diamond ring made in 1884
$8,450.00
The elegance of this ring shows why antique jewellery is just as popular as when they were made well over a century ago, and this can so easily be seen here in this ring.
Made in 18 carat yellow gold during the Victorian period in 1884, in the centre sits a beautiful oval solid white Australian opal that measures 0.30 carats and is complimented perfectly by not just the diamonds on each side, but the yellow gold setting with the magnificent detail on the shoulders.
Each diamond is the lovely mine cut diamond, and these total 0.56 carats and sparkle so beautifully. There is so much charm and character in antique cut diamonds, and combine it with a lovely opal, in an elegant setting, then you have a ring that has all the charm and grace of the Victorian era in which it was made.
With the lovely scroll work on each side leading to the smooth half round band that tapers so elegantly, this is a wonderful example of Victorian jewellery that will no doubt always be admired each time it is worn.
