Here is a very beautiful antique opal and diamond ring made in 1908 that looks as good today as when it was made.
Dating from the Edwardian era, this design was a common style from the late Victorian period of the 1890's through to the Edwardian era such as with this ring, and here you can see that the opals take precedence in the ring over the diamonds as the opals are just all so beautiful and well matched.
Made in 18ct yellow gold, the three solid Australian opals would have come from Coober Pedy and from the same mine as they are all perfectly matched for colour. Then between the centre opal on each side are two diamonds that highlight not just the opals but the ring as a whole and make this ring look even more beautiful in the evening.
From left to right the ring measures 16.7mm by 6.6mm wide at the centre and sits so well on the finger thanks to the elegant curve to the ring and no matter day or night will always be admired.
