Antique opal and diamond ring made in 1919
This opal and diamond ring was hand made in 18ct yellow gold in Birmingham 1919 one year after World War One ended and still has a look and design that is timeless.
With the design of this ring it would be so easy to wear this ring with modern or antique rings and be able to blend right in.
Set with three solid white opals, these are Australian white opals from Coober Pedy. The fire from these opals is just delightful and looks so good set amongst the yellow gold setting.
On each side of the centre opal are two diamonds to add some sparkle and the way they have been set is just delightful.
From the end of one side opal to the end of the other, it measures 14.2mm across by 7.3mm wide at the centre opal making this such an easy ring to wear all the time.
With the solid opals still looking marvelous after all these years to the sparkle of the diamonds and the design of the ring all go to make this a wonderful and very elegant opal and diamond ring for any occasion.
