Antique rhodolite garnet cluster earrings made in the 1880’s

These antique rhodolite garnet cluster earrings were made in the 1880’s and are still in superb condition even after 140 years has passed since being made.

Garnets come in a wide variety of colours from the commonly found deep rich burgundy colour, to the orange spessartite garnets and the rare green demantoid garnets as well as a burgundy-purple colour as can be seen in these rhodolite garnets. The colour is so beautiful to admire and also emphasises the beautiful design of the earrings.

Made in 15 carat gold, each earring measures 17.5mm across by 29.7mm to the top section, or 36.4mm to the very top of the shepherd hooks.

From the side you can see such a sculptured design that was beautifully hand engraved showing how much time and care went into making these earrings.

These are a pair of truly fabulous antique earrings that will always be loved and admired every time they are worn.
