Garnets are commonly found in a deep rich burgundy colour, but also come in other colours such as orange, green and the beautiful burgundy colour with a hint of purple as can be seen in these antique rhodolite garnet and pearl earrings from the 19th century.
Made in 9 carat yellow gold, the earrings have a lovely stippled pattern and are each set with three of the beautiful garnets and a pearl in the centre. The design of the earrings as well as the wonderful rich colour of the gold all combine so beautifully and will be perfect to wear any time of the day or night.
Measuring 11.7mm wide at the bottom by 34.6mm or 43mm to the top of the shepherd hooks, these earrings are typical of the elegant work that was produced in the late 19th century.
As beautiful today as when they were made, these antique earrings are sure to always be admired.
