Antique rose gold carnelian signet ring made in 1897
$0.00
This antique signet ring was made in 1897 and looks as fashionable today as when it was made well over 120 years ago and will be so comfortable and practical to wear all the time.
Made in 9 carat rose gold, the colour of the gold not only has that beautiful warm tone to it, but also matches perfectly with the carnelian set on the top. Carnelian comes from the quartz family and was a traditional material that was used in signet rings and seals for centuries as it was hard and durable enough to last and is being able to be engraved with an intaglio, family crest or initials.
Measuring 12.2mm by 10.6mm on the top, this leads to a very sleek and smooth band that tapers elegantly in width.
With not only a lovely look but feel to it, this antique signet ring will always look perfect on the hand.

Antique rose gold carnelian signet ring made in 1897
This antique signet ring is set with carnelian on the top. Carnelian comes from the quartz family and was a traditional material that was used in signet rings and seals for centuries as it was hard and durable enough to last and is being able to be engraved with an intaglio, family crest or initials.
Signet rings go as far back to ancient Egypt over 4,000 years ago, and use of the term “signet†or “sealâ€, is from the Latin “sigillum†(seal), diminutive of signum (sign) and dates back at least to the second half of the thirteenth century. This antique signet ring is set hand engraved on the sides.
