Antique rose gold fancy Albert chain from the 1900’s.

$0.00

The antique Albert chains were originally designed for a gentleman to put the tee bar through his waistcoat and have the pocket watch connected to one side and the key or seal to the other in the waistcoat making a very grand statement indeed.
However after the early 1900’s when wrist watches started coming onto the market, these chains were left in drawers and many years later were picked up my the wives and now are more commonly worn around the neck.

This particular antique Albert chain looks gorgeous in 9ct rose gold, with the rose gold having such a delightful warm rose colour to it.
Not only is it made up of belcher links, these links are somewhat facetted in design giving it even more charm and character.

Then to add to the design there are a series of 4 fancy double linked long bars which are wonderful feature to this piece.

At each end are the two original rose gold swivels and from end to end it measures 42.3cm in length.

This is such an attractive original antique fob chain that hasn’t been altered as many of them are over the years and would look around the neck or around the waist.
