Antique sapphire and diamond ring made in Birmingham in 1890

This ring will surprise so many when they discover that it is over 130 years old, and still looks as beautiful and fashionable today as when it was made.

Made in 18 carat yellow gold in Birmingham in 1890, the ring is set with a 0.45 carat sapphire in the centre that is then highlighted by having not one, but two European cut diamonds set on each side. These diamonds total 0.12 carats and give a wonderful sparkle to the ring.

With a sapphire set on each end that adds another 0.48 carats in weight to the ring, the ring measures 5.5mm wide at the centre by 15.5mm across.

And then adding to the charm of this ring even further, from the sides the ring has the most incredible scroll work that shows just why there is nothing quite like an antique ring to adorn your finger, making this ring even more special.

This ring will so easily make a wonderful engagement ring, and just as easily suit any other finger and occasion.
