Antique spinner set with carnelian and bloodstone made in 1905
Swivels or spinners as they are also known as, were originally attached to a gents Albert chain, however today it is women who mostly wear them as pendants where they have the advantage to be able to easily rotated over to change the side and therefore the colour of the material, and here is a lovely antique swivel that was made in Birmingham in 1905.
Made in 9 carat gold, it is set with bloodstone on one side and carnelian on the other and a lovely rigid curb link design at the top, the swivel measures 28.8mm across by 34.3mm to the top.
So versatile and attractive to wear so many different ways, this antique spinner is a perfect accompaniment for any chain or necklace.
