Antique spinner engraved with deus et fides
Antique spinners were often worn on Albert chains and today make they wonderful pendants to wear once again on an Albert chain around the neck, or any necklace and has the distinct advantage of having two different sides to show as you choose.
This one was made in the late-Victorian era of the 1890’s in 18 carat yellow gold and one side it is set with bloodstone and on the other carnelian.
However making this one much more unique, the carnelian side has been expertly engraved with the Latin phrase “deus et fides” meaning “God and light”, making this antique spinner so much more unique and personal.
Measuring 27mm by 31.2mm plus the link for a chain or necklace to connect or pas through, this antique spinner will always look so beautiful regardless of which side is showing.

This antique spinner engraved with deus et fides translates to “God and light”. It was made in 18 carat yellow gold in the late 1800’s.
Antique spinners are also called swivels and were originally designed to be worn on a gents Albert chain, however today they are more commonly worn as pendants.
